Summer fun

Well, I have been inspired to start blogging.....again...for the second attempt!  I mean EVERYONE is doing it right?  So...it must be the "in" thing to do and....plenty of material with a 16 month old running around the house:)

Let me start with our summer....BUSY!  Company, friends, cousins, beach, water park, sand....just a lot of fun for a little guy to have.  I so enjoyed watching Jadon go through all these "new" experiences as last summer he was kinda just a little blob (sorry buddy but it is true).  He LOVED to follow all his "big" cousins around (ages 4,5,6 and 7) and try to do everything that they were doing....right down to playing pirates with a sword (well, his was a stick).  And the WORDS he learned...wow!  NO, being the most popular unfortunately:(  Although, a wise mama said to me the other day..."well, he has heard that word a lot in his lifetime"....true, very true!

One of our cutest memories this month as been finding him "diaperless in Seattle" in his crib one night.  How shocked was I?  Well, even more shocked to find his diaper neatly folded at the other end of the bed.....musta been a hot night:)  And the shock continued when I padded the mattress to find it DRY!  We rushed to put that diaper back on his sweet little bottom VERY quickly to say the least!

He has definitely learned a few life lessons this summer as well. And they are 1) girl cousins kiss and hug me tooooooo much so I must squeal to get away from them...haha!  2) if someone (ie older kiddos) takes one more toy away from me I am yelling NO and grabbing it back (oh, the hardships of ALWAYS being the youngest) 3) taking a looooonnnnnngggg drink of water from my sippy cup can prolong the inevitable....bedtime! or clutching onto Mama for dear life as Dadda tries to haul me off to bed:) 4) cuteness and smiling reallllyy big might get you outta trouble....unfortunately this works for everyone except Mom and Dad...oh bother!!!

Well, that is a starter for now!  I really am going to miss this summer of new beginnings for us and the J-Man but am thankful that everyday starts a great new adventure for us to enjoy:)
Till later. ML
